Camping is in meadows surrounded by sand dunes with the Pacific Ocean and Tomales Bay a short walking distance of only a couple hundred yards. There are permanent rest rooms in some locations and portable toilets available in others. There are no shower facilities or laundry. Two dump stations are available along the main campground road, one on each side, about halfway between the gate and the wharf. Water is located along the roads throughout most of the campground area. Picnic tables and fire rings are scattered throughout the area. No designated, individual sites at this campground, rather open grassy meadows for tents and RV's make it a perfect rendezvous for group camping. Dogs on leash are allowed and there is no additional charge to bring the family pet to the beach with you.

 Camping Rules

Camping is provided in grassy meadow areas amongst the sand dunes. While this has proven to be a popular option for group camping, the roping off of big areas has become an issue. In 2005, areas may be roped off with the permission by one of the Landing managers and the space paid for on those nights. (Alternatively: With each space secured, payment will be required.) Check at the gate before you register to clarify these rules.
